Applied Statistician

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Quantitative Method area at Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am an applied statistician and conduct peer-reviewed research in (but not limited to): Statistical Machine Learning, Explainable Data Analytics, Risk Modeling, Auto Insurance Pricing, Multivariate Statistical Methods, Time Series Analysis, Predictive Analytics, and Health Informatics.

The scope of this web page is to provide information about my research, my professional activities, and my publications. 

I can be contacted via Email: shengkun.xie@torontomu.ca, if you are interested in applying for graduate studies in the area mentioned above,  and have strong quantitative background along with self-motivation and initiative in conducting research. I am also looking for research collaboration, both academic and industry,  in a broader area of applying statistics.
