- Is it strictly necessary?
Yes. Without local storage, your custom keybind and HUD preferences would reset to defaults every time you close or reload your game tab.
- What data is stored?
Only four simple local configuration keys: { enabled: boolean, key: string, hudEnabled: boolean, soundEnabled: boolean }. No sensitive or identifiable information is ever stored.
• Host Permissions ("https://*.shellshock.io/*", "https://*.eggcombat.com/*"):
- Why is it needed?
This permission grants the content script authorization to run strictly and exclusively on official Shell Shockers game domains.
- Is it strictly necessary?
Yes. Without host permissions, the browser blocks the extension from interacting with the game canvas or listening to in-game key events.
- Notice what we DO NOT request:
Unlike many extensions that ask for "<all_urls>", our extension is scoped exclusively to Shell Shockers domains. We cannot see or interact with any other websites you visit.
