Our History

Founded by art critic and appraiser Kurt Shaw in 2007, Shaw Galleries specializes in antique maps, rare prints, and works of historical importance spanning three centuries. With over 4,000 original artworks, rare prints, photographs, books and maps, Shaw Galleries offers a vast collection dating from the 18th century to the present day.

Our gallery, which was located at 805 Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh from 2008 to 2018, is now online, with select items being available for purchase on this website (pending) as well as at regional antique shows.
