I laid down on the grass, feeling the long stems of flowers caress as my back began to fall onto them. Sun seeped through my closed eyelids, painting a deep red picture in my mind. I relaxed my body, letting my sore muscles bathe in the heat.

I have never realized how strange this place is, how absurd it is. It lacks transitions, mood changing so quickly, so abruptly, and I seem not to notice. It isn’t that I do not notice, it is that I can not think. I have spent so long running from the Darkness, I never had time to contemplate where I am, who I am. I do not know my preferences, my dislikes, all I know is a blend of sights and smells that make this Place. The red glow that comforted my mind began to fade, and I let myself dream. I let my mind wander for the first time since I arrived here. I let memories of another past, another Place, seep in.
