With the supervision of Dr. SM Sharifuzzaman, I am working on a taxonomic study of marine shrimp along with DNA barcoding from the south-eastern part of Bangladesh mainly focusing on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar coast under the lab facilitated by CVASU. There is a lot of scope for shrimp taxonomy because we have 19 coastal districts with the broken coastline, coastal island, mangrove forest, deep-sea and extensive study (both at the morphological and molecular level) of deep-sea shrimp is yet to be done. I have a deep interest in this issue.
