I am a biologist focused on evolutionary genomics, molecular phylogenetics, and bioinformatics. I completed my B.S. in Fisheries and M.S. in Fisheries Management from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. My research explored the systematics, evolutionary relationships, and biogeography of aquatic organisms, including marine anchovies, brachyuran crabs, and gelatinous zooplankton. I combine traditional morphological taxonomy with molecular markers like COI and 16S rDNA to clarify species boundaries and improve regional biodiversity assessments.
As a Research Assistant in the Marine Biodiversity and Systematics Lab, I have contributed to biodiversity discovery projects involving field sampling, molecular analyses, and bioinformatics-based phylogenetic reconstruction. I have developed strong technical proficiency in DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and computational analyses using R, MEGA, Chromas, and BioEdit. My current interests focus on computational and evolutionary genomics, particularly on developing analytical frameworks to interpret complex genomic data, study species diversification, and investigate disease genomics.
