Istiuk Ah​ammed Rubby

Istiuk Ahammed Rubby currently works at Marine Biology & Systematics Lab as a research assistant. His area of interest includes Marine Biology, Fish taxonomy, Taxonomic DNA Barcoding, Phylogenetics, Metagenomics and Metabarcoding, Biodiversity and Conservations and Fisheries Resources Management. He completed his B.Sc (Honor’s) degree in Fisheries from Department of Fisheries, University of Chittagong, Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Of late, He has been pursuing his MSc degree at the same Institution. Previously, He worked on Taxonomy and molecular phylogeny of the fish groups under the family Leiognathidae, Mugilidae, Cynoglossidae, Blenniidae and Gobiidae. He is very much interested in systematic study of Blenny and Gobies from Bangladesh. His dream confronts to be a taxonomist and work for achieving sustainable development goals in terms of Aquatic Biodiversity and Fisheries resources management of Bangladesh.
