A New Chapter for the Nation: Rights Enshrined, Islands Planned, and the Republic Blueprint Completed
In a week of extraordinary significance, the College of Founders and the Provisional Government of Shardiland have taken three monumental steps forward in the journey toward nationhood. From the solemn guarantee of citizens’ rights to the finalisation of strategic island development plans, and the long-awaited completion of the Republic’s foundational blueprint, the path ahead is clearer than ever before.
FOUNDERS’ DECREE NO. 4: A REPUBLIC OF RIGHTS
With the issuance of Founders’ Decree No. 4: On the Recognition and Guarantee of the Rights of Citizens, the College of Founders has formally codified the essential liberties and protections to which every Shardilandi shall be entitled. The decree is not merely symbolic. It is legally binding within the pre-constitutional framework of the Organic Law of the State and will serve as a cornerstone of the nation’s future constitution.
The decree affirms that the rights of individuals – to freedom of expression, to protection from discrimination, to due process, and to participation in the political and civic life of the Republic – are inherent, inalienable, and must be protected by all future governments. It is a proclamation of unity and dignity, a promise to build a nation not merely on power and law, but on principle and humanity.
In a statement released by the College, the Founders remarked:
"A Republic cannot exist without citizens who are free. And citizens cannot be free without rights that are real, respected, and reinforced."
KATARO AND STRIMBONDAR: PLANS FINALISED FOR SHARDILAND’S KEY ISLANDS
In a separate announcement, the government confirmed the finalisation of the development plans for the islands of Kataro and Strimbondar, two essential territories in the future geography of Shardiland.
Kataro, long known for its lush vegetation, dense forests, and rare ecosystems, will be developed as a model of ecological balance. The government’s strategy includes the creation of protected environmental zones, green residential areas, renewable energy infrastructure, and scientific research centres. The vision is to establish Kataro not just as a place of beauty, but as a symbol of Shardiland’s respect for the Earth and future generations.
Meanwhile, Strimbondar – an island characterised by its fertile plains and favourable climate – will become the agricultural and livestock engine of the Republic. Plans include sustainable farming programmes, centres for agricultural innovation, and training initiatives for future farmers and animal specialists. Ethical treatment of animals, preservation of rural culture, and food self-sufficiency stand at the core of this ambitious project.
Ministerial sources have also indicated that both islands will be prepared to receive settlers and key infrastructure works beginning in the pre-sovereignty stage, depending on funding, coordination with international partners, and internal logistics.
THE FOUNDATIONAL PLAN: THE REPUBLIC’S BLUEPRINT IS COMPLETE
Perhaps the most anticipated announcement came in the final hours of the day, as the College of Founders declared that the complete plan and constitutional guidelines for the creation of the Republic of Shardiland have been completed. This document, developed over months of deliberation and research, outlines every major institution, power structure, legal principle, and procedural step required for the birth of a sovereign, democratic, and functional state.
It includes provisions on the distribution of legislative and executive power, the court system, the role of the Founders in the transition period, national language and identity, and guidelines for peaceful coexistence among diverse communities. The document will be made public later this month, and the Founders have expressed their hope that citizens and allies alike will study, question, and contribute to its continued refinement.
The plan is not just a document – it is a map, a declaration of readiness, and a reflection of a people determined to take their destiny into their own hands.
A NATION NOT YET HELD, BUT ALREADY BORN
Though Shardiland does not yet hold Ailsa Craig – the city that will one day serve as its capital – and though its sovereignty remains aspirational for now, the actions taken this week signal the maturity, seriousness, and vision of its Founders.
As Liam Johnson concluded in his SC7N address:
"Our Republic is no longer an idea, it is becoming a reality."
And with rights recognised, plans in motion, and a constitutional map soon to be unveiled, the dream of Shardiland moves closer to its day of birth.
Long live Shardiland.
