“Cogitamus ergo praevalemus”
In a bold step towards future statehood, the Republic of Shardiland has today released a comprehensive set of proposed treaties that it intends to sign upon gaining full international recognition. These documents cover key areas such as mutual diplomatic recognition, cultural cooperation, environmental protection, peaceful dispute resolution, and trade frameworks.
While these treaties hold no legal standing until Shardiland is formally recognised by the international community, they offer a clear roadmap for the country’s diplomatic vision and global partnerships. The Founders have confirmed that the texts follow international norms and are fully compatible with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to which Shardiland is officially subordinate in all foundational legislation.
Citizens and observers alike have praised the move as a signal of seriousness and commitment to peaceful cooperation in the international arena.
In a landmark development for democratic preparation, the Council of Founders has issued Founders' Decree No. 3, entitled “On the Regulation of Political Parties and Candidate Eligibility.”
The decree establishes a legal framework for the formation and operation of political parties within the Republic of Shardiland. It ensures that all parties must adhere to principles of internal democracy, transparency in funding, non-discrimination, and respect for the constitutional order. It also sets clear eligibility criteria for candidates wishing to stand for election, including age, citizenship, ethical conduct, and commitment to democratic values.
Parties will be registered by a future independent electoral commission, as specified in the Organic Law of the State, and the decree ensures that no party may operate with violence, hate speech, or foreign domination.
With this decree, the Founders prepare the nation for its eventual first elections, ensuring a fair and just political landscape from the very beginning.
The much-anticipated Founders' Law has now been formally enacted. This organic law defines the role, responsibilities, and limits of the Founders during the pre-foundational phase of Shardiland.
The law confirms that the Founders are not permanent leaders, but rather temporary guardians of legality and institutional design, responsible for guiding Shardiland’s legal and political structures until a full democratic constitution is adopted. It clarifies how they must act collegially, obey the principles of legality and impartiality, and refrain from any personal political gain.
It also outlines their duties in creating foundational institutions, ensuring citizens' access to rights, and promoting national unity across the archipelago.
This law adds a new level of transparency and legitimacy to the pre-foundational period, reinforcing Shardiland’s identity as a state grounded in principles, not personalities.
Also published today is the General Judiciary Law of Shardiland, a major milestone in the establishment of the national legal system.
The law sets out the hierarchical structure of the courts, from local courts of first instance to the Supreme Court of Shardiland, which will serve as the final court of appeal and the guardian of constitutional interpretation.
It ensures the independence of the judiciary, lays down the principles for appointing judges based on merit and transparency, and guarantees every citizen the right to a fair trial. Additionally, the law creates mechanisms for constitutional review, allowing both individuals and institutions to challenge laws or acts that may violate the fundamental rights of the people.
The Founders reaffirmed that the judiciary is to be impartial, efficient, and accessible, serving as one of the essential pillars of Shardiland’s democracy.
With these sweeping legal, diplomatic, and political developments, the Republic of Shardiland demonstrates not only symbolic intention, but real institutional maturity. The transition from an idea to a structured reality is now well underway. Citizens are urged to familiarise themselves with the new texts, participate in the civic discussions, and prepare for the next phase: constitutional drafting and public participation.
The Founders remain committed to transparency, legality, and human dignity.
