Privacy Policy for Shapey Party

Shapey Party ("the app") is a shape-matching game designed for young children. It is available on Android through Google Play and on iPhone and iPad through the Apple App Store. This single policy covers both versions. Where the two differ, the section says so; everywhere else they behave identically. Contact: richi007dx@gmail.com
WHO THIS APP IS FOR
Shapey Party is built so a young child can play entirely on their own, without creating an account, typing anything, or connecting to anyone else. This policy describes the very limited information involved in showing advertising, which is what supports the app being free.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not require or offer account creation, sign-in, or a profile.
We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, contacts, or location.
The app does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location, on Android or on iOS.
The app has no chat, messaging, or any way for a child to communicate with another person.
We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
The child's progress (current level, boards completed) and settings (volume, language) are stored only on the device itself and are never sent to us or anyone else.
Voice narration is produced entirely on the device using its built-in text-to-speech feature. No audio or text is ever sent anywhere.
ADVERTISING ON ANDROID AND IOS
Shapey Party shows occasional ads, served by Google AdMob, to help keep the app free. Ads only appear between activities, never during play and never the first time the app is used, and a child can always dismiss one.
Because Shapey Party is directed at children, every ad request, on both platforms, is flagged to Google as child-directed. This has concrete effects: no advertising identifier is sent with the request, ads are not personalized based on interest or browsing history, and remarketing is disabled. Google restricts serving on child-directed requests to ad partners that have certified they follow Google's Families policies, and the maximum ad content rating allowed is "General audiences."
Showing an ad still requires a network request, which inherently includes the device's IP address and basic technical information (device type, operating system, app version, and a general region derived from IP). AdMob uses this only to serve and measure ads and to detect invalid traffic. We do not otherwise collect, see, or store this information ourselves. ANDROID VERSION
The Android version does not collect or transmit the Android Advertising ID with ad requests, because every request is marked child-directed. Only ad sources that Google has certified under the Google Play Families Policy can serve ads in the app. The app uses internet access solely to request ads; it needs no other permission that involves personal information.
IOS VERSION
The iOS version never asks permission to track you and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), so Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt never appears. The privacy details shown on the App Store listing describe the same information as this policy.
INFORMATION FROM THE APP STORES
Google Play and the Apple App Store give developers aggregated reports, such as download counts and crash reports from people who chose to share diagnostics with the store. We use these only to keep the app working. They do not identify individual children to us.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Shapey Party is designed with COPPA (the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) in mind, on both platforms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, the app does not allow children to create accounts or communicate with others, and advertising is served under Google's child-directed treatment as described above. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below.
Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are covered by the same description above: no personal data is collected by us beyond what is described in the Advertising section.
DATA SHARING AND SALE
We do not sell any data. The only sharing that occurs is the ad-serving information described above, sent to Google AdMob for the sole purpose of showing an ad.
DATA SECURITY
Because the app does not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no account data or personal profile to secure. Progress and settings live only in the app's local storage on the child's own device.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
