Short Biography

Shanza Shakoor is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, which she began in 2024. She received her M.Sc. and BS. Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan, and COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology (CIIT), Islamabad, Wah Campus, Pakistan in 2017 and 2019, respectively. 

From 2021 to 2023, she worked as an Information Security Engineer at NETSOL Technologies, Lahore, Pakistan, where she gained hands-on experience in cybersecurity, data loss prevention, and secure network systems.

She received "Best Researcher of the Department Award and Best Researcher cash prize winner" from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan. She is also a technical reviewer for peer-reviewed journals.

Her research interests include integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), wireless network optimization, and cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems,  full duplex communication, internet of things (IOT), wireless sensor networks,

Ms. Shakoor received the Best Researcher of the Department Award during her M.Sc. studies at UET Taxila. She is also a technical reviewer for peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Access and Computers and Electrical Engineering.
