Automatic Timetable Scheduler

About:

This software generates a random timetable for all classes from various departments making sure every teaching faculty will get the same working load in a day.

There are 2 roles:

• Administrator role can use all the functionalities available.

• User role can just use the report generation functionality alone.

Technologies:

• Front-End: Microsoft Visual Basic

• Back-End: MS Access Database

Features:

• It minimized the work load of faculty by balancing teaching hours throughout the week

• It gave variety of class hours for students to free them from boredom and continuous core subjects

• Class wise, Department wise and Faculty wise timetable reports would be generated

Functionalities:

• User

You can create a new user by providing a unique username and any one of the 2 roles.

• Course

The courses available are provided here with details like its duration and semester type.

• Class

The classes available for every course will be provided in this section.

• Subject

The subjects of all the courses are listed in this section for both, odd and even semesters.

• Staff

The faculty details of the institution are provided in this section.

• Room

There might be laboratories, special rooms. All these details are given here.

• Create Allotments

It provides the details about which staff to a class in which room and for what subject.

Only when the above parts are provided with data, the parts below will work:

• Generate Time table

It generates the time table of the selected semester – odd / even.

• Generate Report

Reports are generated under various criteria.
