The name of this residence was probably inspired by a Song dynasty poem by Lu You 陆游:
《暮春》
山阴又见暮春初，禁火园林社雨余。
世事不妨随日改，年光未遽与人疏。

草草一杯终可喜，数间茅屋亦吾庐。
