Shamik Sarkar, Ph.D., is a researcher in the area of wireless and mobile networks. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral scholar in the CORES Lab at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is advised by Dr. Danijela Cabric. Prior to that, he obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Utah, where he was advised by Dr. Sneha Kumar Kasera. During his Ph.D., Shamik interned at the Nokia Bell Labs, New Jersey, for two summers, where his mentor was Dr. Milind Buddhikot. Before coming to the US for his Ph.D., he worked for three years as a Network Engineer at Cisco Systems, India.
