Have you ever wondered what exactly our PTO does to support our school? Here is a list of our various programs aimed at enhancing students’ education and experience while here at Shakerag! Interested in helping out with a particular event or program? Email the Vice President associated with the event, and we would be grateful for your assistance.
Agendas– provides an agenda to each student at Shakerag helping them stay organized and accountable.
Arts Recognition Contest– organizes and collects student’s fine art submissions for a local elementary school PTO contest and allowing them to showcase their talents in areas such as visual arts, music, dance, and writing.
School Supply Kits - Buy your school supply kits for the next school year & pick them up at Sneak Peek! Enjoy more of your summer!!!
Science Fun– provides fascinating experiments to enhance students understanding of science.
Yearbook – collects, organizes, designs and markets our amazing Shakerag yearbook, allowing students to forever remember their time here.
Membership – encourages all parents to become members of our PTO, which provides the funding for all of these wonderful programs and events.
MySchoolAnywhere (MSA) - We provide an account for all families to access our online store and volunteer sign ups. We also give access to our Online Student Directory for our PTO Members.
Publicity/Signs – spreads the word about Shakerag and school events in our community.

Artist Day – a interactive, fun filled day exposing students to a variety of different artists, art forms, cultures, and careers.
Book Fair – supports this fundraiser for the Media Center by helping students and parents find great books to buy for their home library.
Hands on Shakerag – helps beautify Shakerag grounds by planting weeding, and general gardening. This is a great service activity for the entire family, Girl and Boy Scout groups, Junior Beta Club, etc.
Hearing and Vision Screenings – assists and administers these important screenings to students.
Spirit Nights - Join our Shakerag family at different local venues for a fun family night.
Movie Night – a family friendly movie event under the stars or inside the building (weather dependent).
Fall BINGO & Baskets– a huge fundraising event for our school that is highly anticipated! A fun event for the whole family with lots of great prizes to be won!
School Dance – a night full of music, friends, and of course... dancing! Always be on the look out for some memorable special performances!
Storybook Night – a fun night for students and parents where some of our favorite storybook characters tell their stories.
Box Tops– helps manage various fundraising programs which provides the funding for all of these wonderful programs and events. Box-tops: counts and bundles box tops collected by students for the General Mills Box Tops program.
Field Day - A fun filled day of exercise for our students.
School Store – sells basic school supplies, as well as some fun and unique stuff.
Spirit Wear – provides lots of products to show off your Shakerag spirit throughout the year.
Shark Sharing - The Giving Tree (Dec) and Summer Sharing (May) – helps to several coordinate projects for our students to give to those in need in our community and also right here at Shakerag.
Treats for Teachers – provides and serves luncheons to celebrate our dedicated teachers and staff throughout the year.
5th Grade Focus – 5th grade parents help make this a memorable year for the kids with various special events including Rock Eagle.
Media Center – supports our librarian by helping to shelve, check out, and return books.
Mini-Grants - teachers can receive grants for proposed programs and items.
P.A.L.S. – supports our teachers by providing copying, cutting, binding and laminating services.
Room Parent Program – coordinates Room Coordinators and Room Treasurers and provides funds for classroom activities.
