As someone within academia, I would like to use this space to show solidarity with the students and teachers of Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip - who have been subjected to the worst forms of human rights abuses imaginable since October of 2023. Secondarily, I would like to pay homage to students and professors across Europe and the US who have raised their voices in the wake of the genocidal rampage in Gaza since October of 2023 - and have been involved in various encampments calling on their universities to divest from Israeli universities in cahoots with the genocide, apartheid and colonization of the Palestinian people. Ceasefire NOW! 🇵🇸

I am undertaking a PhD at PSL, Paris - one of the leading unis in various natural and social science domains, with a QS world rank of 26. My PhD focuses on economic and public policy aspects of transportation platforms (Uber, BlaBlaCar, Citibike, etc), with a heavy reliance on quantitative methods like data science and econometrics.

More generally, my interests include machine learning, data science and econometric methods applied to the transport, environment, digital platform, energy, sustainable development and political econ spaces. I primarily like to undertake quantitative research in these domains and also find secondary interest in qualitative research within the aforementioned fields. If you possess similar interests, please do feel free to drop me an email and we can touch base regarding possible collaborations like co-authoring a paper for instance.

I started off as an electrical engineer - and later transitioned towards a mix of economics, data analysis and public policy. I have previously worked at the International Energy Agency (OECD) within the transport policy space; and interned at VOI Scooters (as an electronics engineer) and General Electric (within energy markets and optimization). I have a Master's in Energy Innovation from KTH, Sweden and a Master's in Electrical Engineering for Smart Grids and Buildings from INP Grenoble, France. My undergrad was in Electrical Engineering from NUST, Pakistan
