Department of Physics

  • About the Department

Physics department has established in the year 1970 with an U G Course – B. Sc. (PCM). At present, there are two faculty members in the physics department. It consists of two spacious laboratories with dark room, and staff room. It has Computer and Internet facilities for staff & students. Every year, approximately, 8 to 10 students are joining M.Sc. in Physics at various Universities on merit basis.

VISION

To construct base for excellence and spur development of the institution as a premier institution by igniting and cherishing zeal, interests and passion, in understanding physics, in professional courses, as a part of curriculum.

MISSION

· To stimulate young minds and discover their talents both in theory and practical physics, through perseverance to teach, commitment towards the students and advanced instructional methods like PPT and visual aids.

· To provide high quality physics education and preparing students’ for higher education.

· To provide students with state of the art knowledge in physics to train them to compete globally.

· To prepare students to contribute for the betterment of society through acquired knowledge of physics.

· To develop a scheme among the department for the continuous improvement of the students.

· To support the various constructive activities of the college and make the department vivacious.
