This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the SplitMate: Bill Splitter mobile application ("App") available on Google Play.

1. OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT

We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. SplitMate: Bill Splitter is engineered from the ground up with an "Offline-First and Zero-Data-Collection" architecture. We do not collect, store, transmit, monetize, or share any personal identifiable information (PII), financial records, or device data.

2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

When you use SplitMate: Bill Splitter, we DO NOT collect:

• Personal Information: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.

• Financial & Calculation Data: Any expense entries, bill amounts, item prices, or group balance calculations are processed 100% locally in temporary device memory. No financial or transaction records are ever logged or uploaded to any cloud server.

• Device & Hardware Identifiers: No IMEI, Android ID, Advertising ID (AAID), MAC address, or IP address.

• Usage Analytics & Telemetry: No crash reporting SDKs, tracking beacons, or engagement metrics.

3. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

SplitMate requires ZERO runtime permissions. It does NOT request access to:

• Camera or Microphone

• Contacts or Calendar

• Storage or Media Files

• Location or Bluetooth

• Network / Internet Access

4. ON-DEVICE DATA STORAGE

Any user preferences (such as default tip percentages, currency symbols, or theme mode preferences) are stored strictly locally on your own device using Android's standard encrypted Preferences DataStore. This data never leaves your physical device and can be permanently deleted at any time by clearing the App's storage cache or uninstalling the App.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & LIBRARIES

The App contains no third-party advertising networks, no commercial analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), and no external payment gateways.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Because SplitMate collects no personal data whatsoever, the App is fully safe for users of all ages and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. GOOGLE PLAY DEVELOPER POLICY COMPLIANCE

This policy complies fully with Google Play's User Data policy and Developer Distribution Agreement regarding data disclosure, transparency, and user privacy protection.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical or legal improvements. Any changes will be posted directly within the App's store listing.
