Abstract
Soft robots, characterized by their softness and compliance, showcase remarkable adaptability to unstructured obstacles. Various soft sensors find various applications in soft robots, extending even to human skin. Adaptive control strategies for soft robots can manage complex tasks in unknown environments. Although some works are related to adaptability, there is still a lack of a clear definition and exhaustive research on adaptability in soft robots. This workshop aims to comprehensively review the state-of-the-art in soft robot adaptability research and foster the development of adaptability in soft robots. Esteemed experts will be invited to deliver talks on this subject, and a call for papers will be issued to attract young researchers to share their current research endeavors. Panel discussions are planned to delve into the primary developments and challenges within the realm of soft robot adaptability.
