Does my child have to wear a mask to school?
As of Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Collierville Schools will mandate the wearing of a cloth face covering, such as a mask or gaiter, at all times during the school day. This new requirement will include the classroom setting, even when 6-feet of social distancing is being maintained. For more information about this policy click here.
When will my child(ren) be able to remove his or her mask during the school day?
At the direction and approval of CS staff, students may remove their face mask when outdoors and maintaining 6-feet of social distancing or when inside the building and 6-feet of social distancing can be maintained, but only for periods of less than 10 minutes.
Students may remove their masks while eating lunch or a snack for the duration of the lunch period.
With the instruction of the teacher, masks may be removed during recess, P.E. and any class that requires physical exertion, as long as 6-foot social distancing is maintained.
Can teachers implement mask breaks throughout the day?
Teachers will have some discretion in allowing for mask breaks throughout the school day. Mask breaks, while inside the building, must be for periods of less than 10 minutes and only if the students can maintain social distancing guidelines the entire time.
May students bring their own masks?
Yes. Students can wear their own masks. Any content or graphics on the mask must be school appropriate and not cause a disruption to the learning process.
School branded masks are acceptable.

What is the technology fee? Do I have to pay it?
The technology fee is required for all students because every child will have access to technology of some sort whether you are a part of the in-person or CVA option.
The fee structure is $50 for one student, $75 for two students, and $100 for three or more students.

Do I need to buy additional supplies for art?
Yes, if your child is at school for in-person learning, students will need an additional individual art bag containing the following items:
1 box crayons, 1 box markers, 1 pair of scissors, 1 glue stick, 1 pencil, 1 eraser, 1 ziplock bag to hold supplies, 1 folder to keep artwork
