If you want a rugged, waterproof device built for high-intensity aquatic workouts and long battery life, choose SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3; if you need a soft, light-blocking sleep aid with wireless convenience for side sleepers, choose MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Stary. This isn't about which gadget is more expensive or which one has more stars in a store listing; it is about matching the right tool to your specific physical needs. For elderly users who struggle with traditional headphones or need a dedicated solution for water therapy and pool laps, the choice becomes even clearer because comfort and reliability are paramount. The SEWOBYE unit is a specialized piece of equipment for active water sports, while the MUSICOZY mask is a sophisticated accessory designed exclusively for rest and recovery in low-light environments. Understanding these distinct purposes is the only way to make a smart purchase decision without wasting money on a product that doesn't fit your lifestyle.
• SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: Its biggest strength is its IPX8 waterproof rating allowing full submersion up to 10 feet with a massive 16-hour battery life; its trade-off is the lack of Bluetooth connectivity, requiring wired connections for music playback.
• MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Stary: Its biggest strength is its dual function as a blackout eye mask and wireless Bluetooth 5.4 headphone with soft ice silk fabric; its trade-off is the absence of internal storage, relying entirely on an external phone connection.
• Who each pick is for: Choose the SEWOBYE for swimmers, athletes, or elderly individuals needing durable, hands-free audio during water activities; choose the MUSICOZY for travelers, insomniacs, or elderly users seeking deep sleep and light blocking with wireless ease.
The SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3 Player is engineered for one primary purpose: to keep you moving in the water without interruption. If you are looking for the best neckband headphones for elderly family members who enjoy hydrotherapy or swimming, this device offers a level of durability that standard electronics simply cannot match. It is not just a player; it is a survival tool for anyone who wants to listen to audiobooks or music while submerged. The design features raised ridges on the control buttons specifically so they can be operated by wet fingertips without looking. This tactile feedback is crucial for safety and convenience when your eyes might be covered by goggles or when you are mid-lap.

The battery performance is where this unit truly shines for endurance athletes. With an average play time of 16 hours on a single charge, it eliminates the anxiety of running out of power during a long training session or a marathon swim. The internal memory capacity holds over 2,000 songs, meaning you do not need to carry a smartphone into the pool with you. You can download audiobooks and music directly from a computer via USB, and the device supports a wide range of formats including FLAC, APE, and WMA. This local storage capability ensures that your entertainment is always available, regardless of whether you have a signal in the locker room or a phone nearby.
However, this device is not for everyone. It requires you to connect the included short-cord headphones, which are specifically designed to prevent tangling around goggle straps. While this is a benefit for swimmers, it means you cannot use your own preferred wireless earbuds with it. Furthermore, it lacks Bluetooth, so it is strictly a standalone media player. If you are looking for in ear headphones for elderly users who prefer to stream directly from their tablet without managing files, this might feel too technical. But for those who prioritize ruggedness, total submersion protection, and hours of uninterrupted listening in the pool, the SEWOBYE is unmatched.
In contrast, the MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Stary is designed for the quiet moments of the day and night. It is the ideal choice for someone who struggles to fall asleep due to light sensitivity or noise. The core feature here is the "2-in-1" design, which combines a high-quality Bluetooth sleep mask with premium audio drivers. The mask uses natural ice silk material that is incredibly soft and safe for the skin, making it perfect for sensitive faces often found in elderly demographics. Unlike stiff plastic masks that dig into temples, this fabric conforms to the face, ensuring no pressure points disturb your rest.
For side sleepers, the adjustable Velcro strap is a game-changer. Many sleep masks shift off easily when you roll over, but the triangle wing design and velcro adjustment ensure the mask stays securely in place without pressing on the eyes or hair. The large size design blocks out all light, creating a cave-like darkness that signals the body to produce melatonin. Inside the mask, 32-millimeter dynamic drivers deliver HD audio through Bluetooth 5.4 technology. This allows for a wireless connection up to 50 feet away from your source device, letting you move freely around the bedroom or travel without being tethered by wires.
The trade-off with the MUSICOZY is its reliance on an external power source and connectivity. It does not have internal storage like the SEWOBYE, so you must pair it with a phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth device to play content. The battery life is solid at 14 hours, which covers most nights comfortably, but it does require charging every few days if used nightly. Additionally, while it offers excellent sound isolation, it does not actively block outside noise like noise-canceling headphones; it relies on the physical weight of the mask and the volume of the audio to drown out disturbances. If you are looking for the best multipoint head phones for elderly users who want to watch movies in bed or listen to podcasts before drifting off, this mask provides the ultimate blend of comfort and functionality.

After weighing the specifications and real-world applications, I would personally buy the MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Stary for my own nightly routine, but I would recommend the SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3 for a relative who loves to swim. If you are shopping for an elderly person, the MUSICOZY is often the safer bet for general health and sleep hygiene, offering a gentle, non-intrusive way to relax. However, if that same person has a doctor-recommended swimming regimen or loves the pool, the SEWOBYE is the only logical choice because it survives where other electronics fail. Both devices excel in their specific lanes, but neither tries to be everything to everyone. In my opinion, choosing between them comes down to whether your priority is the water or the pillow.
No, the SEWOBYE does not support Bluetooth connectivity. It uses a wired connection with the included short-cord swimming headphones, though it does come with an extension cord for different activities.
The MUSICOZY mask does not have internal storage, so it requires a Bluetooth connection to a phone or device to play audio. It cannot play music independently like the SEWOBYE.
The MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Stary is superior for side sleepers due to its adjustable Velcro strap and flat design that prevents pressure on the ears and eyes.
The SEWOBYE is rated IPX8 and can withstand submersion up to 10 feet (3 meters), making it suitable for lap swimming and shallow water activities, but not for deep scuba diving.
