If you want a dedicated, rugged MP3 player with massive storage and long battery life for serious lap training or marathon swimming, choose SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3; if you need versatile bone conduction technology that transitions seamlessly from underwater pools to land-based runs and offers crystal clear calls kids headphones for children might use on dry days, choose HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones.
• SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: Delivers an impressive 16-hour battery life and holds over 2,000 songs in its 8GB internal memory, making it ideal for extended swim sessions, but lacks Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls or music streaming on land.
• HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones: Offers flexible open-ear bone conduction design with Bluetooth 6.0 for land workouts and superior comfort under goggles, though it provides a shorter 8-hour battery life and less total storage than the dedicated MP3 player.
• Best for: The SEWOBYE is perfect for swimmers who prioritize uninterrupted music during long marathons, while the HIFI WALKER suits athletes needing one device for both pool laps and gym sessions.
The SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3 is engineered specifically for the swimmer who treats their workout like a serious athletic endeavor. Its core strength lies in its robust battery performance and storage capacity. With a claimed average battery life of up to 16 hours, this device allows for weeks of training without needing a recharge, which is a significant advantage for those logging high mileage in the pool. The 8GB memory capacity can store over 2,000 songs, ensuring that your playlist never runs out, no matter how many laps you plan to complete. This makes it an excellent choice for voice assistant sports earbuds for children who might be listening to audiobooks or long-form content rather than just short tracks.
The physical design prioritizes durability and ease of use in wet conditions. The control buttons feature raised ridges, a thoughtful detail that ensures you can operate the player without looking, even with wet fingers. This tactile feedback is crucial when you are mid-lap and cannot stop to fiddle with a screen. The unit is small and lightweight at only 35 grams, featuring a clip-on attachment that secures easily to goggle straps or swimsuit bands. This keeps the player stable and prevents it from drifting away during vigorous kicks or turns. The inclusion of gold-plated stereo jacks further protects against corrosion, a common enemy in chlorine-heavy environments.

However, this device is not for everyone. It relies entirely on wired connections via its short cord swimming headphones, meaning there is no wireless freedom once you step out of the water. If you are looking for a device that doubles as a primary communication tool for taking calls while running on land, this unit will feel limiting. It is strictly a media player designed for immersion. You must download music manually via USB, supporting formats like MP3, WMA, FLAC, and APE, which requires some setup time before you hit the pool deck. It is best suited for those who want a distraction-free environment focused purely on endurance and audio quality underwater.
The HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones take a different approach by combining bone conduction technology with dual-mode functionality. This device is built for versatility. It features a lightweight 29-gram frame made of memory titanium, which rests outside the ear canal rather than blocking it. This open-ear design significantly reduces the "blocked-ear" feeling often associated with traditional in-ear buds, making it more comfortable for long wear times, especially when paired with tight-fitting swim caps and goggles. For parents seeking voice assistant in ear earbuds for children who also need to hear their surroundings during dry activities, this design offers a safety-first solution that traditional waterproof earbuds cannot match.
What sets this model apart is its ability to switch between two distinct worlds. When submerged, it utilizes its 32GB internal memory to play music directly, bypassing the fact that Bluetooth signals do not transmit reliably through water. However, once you leave the pool, you can instantly connect via Bluetooth 6.0 to your smartphone. This allows you to stream music, answer calls, or listen to podcasts while cycling, running, or walking at the gym without carrying a separate device. The ability to handle crystal clear calls kids headphones for children might need for after-school activities adds a layer of utility that pure MP3 players simply lack. The controls are straightforward, offering sequential, shuffle, and folder play modes to organize your library efficiently.
The trade-off here is battery life and total storage compared to the dedicated MP3 player. While the 32GB storage is generous, allowing for a vast library, the battery life averages around 8 hours. This is still sufficient for most daily training sessions, but it may require more frequent charging than the SEWOBYE for ultra-endurance swimmers. Additionally, while the bone conduction drivers provide good sound, they rely on vibration rather than direct air-conducted sound, which means the bass response and audio fidelity will differ from the lossless sound quality promised by the SEWOBYE's wired system. It is an ideal pick for the multi-sport athlete who refuses to carry multiple devices.
• Best for Battery Life → SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: With up to 16 hours of playback, it outperforms the HIFI WALKER's 8-hour limit, making it superior for long-distance training blocks.
• Best Storage Capacity → SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: Its 8GB capacity supports over 2,000 songs, whereas the HIFI WALKER, despite having 32GB, focuses on a different user profile where storage density matters less than connectivity.
• Best for Land Workouts → HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones: Only the HIFI WALKER offers Bluetooth 6.0, allowing seamless streaming and calls while running or cycling without wires.
• Best Comfort Under Goggles → HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones: The open-ear bone conduction design sits comfortably with swim caps and goggles, avoiding the pressure points of in-ear buds.
• Best for Durability in Chlorine → SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: Gold-plated connectors and a rugged IPX8 rating specifically designed for submersion make it highly resistant to corrosion.
• Best for Voice Assistant Integration → HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones: The open-ear design and Bluetooth capability make it better suited for integrating with voice assistants on land, a feature relevant for voice assistant sports earbuds for children.
• Best Value for Multi-Sport Use → HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones: If you need one device for the pool, the track, and the gym, the HIFI WALKER eliminates the need for a second pair of headphones.
• Best for Audiobook Listeners → SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3: The longer battery life and extensive file support make it easier to finish long chapters without interruption.
In my opinion, I would choose the SEWOBYE Waterproof MP3 if my primary goal was purely focused on swimming performance and endurance. The 16-hour battery life is a game-changer for anyone doing marathon-style training, and the rugged, simple interface ensures I never have to worry about connectivity issues underwater. However, if I needed a device that could handle my entire fitness routine—from the pool lane to the treadmill—I would lean toward the HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones. Its bone conduction design is safer for outdoor use, and the Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity offers a level of convenience that modern athletes expect. Ultimately, for children who need reliable, safe audio gear that works in the water and communicates clearly on land, the HIFI WALKER offers a more versatile solution, while the SEWOBYE remains the specialist tool for serious aquatic training.
Both models are designed for active use, but the HIFI WALKER's open-ear bone conduction design is generally considered safer for children as it does not block the ear canal, allowing them to hear their surroundings while exercising.
No, both units have built-in MP3 players (8GB for SEWOBYE and 32GB for HIFI WALKER) that allow you to store music directly on the device, so you can swim without carrying a phone.
The SEWOBYE claims HIFI lossless sound quality with a focus on audio fidelity for underwater listening, while the HIFI WALKER uses bone conduction drivers which prioritize situational awareness and comfort over deep bass.
Only the HIFI WALKER Swimming Headphones supports Bluetooth 6.0, which enables you to take calls and connect to voice assistants when you are out of the water; the SEWOBYE is a dedicated MP3 player without calling capabilities.
