Seventide is made by Vinh Nguyen Ngoc. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information.
The short version: your tasks never leave your phone, and Seventide does not even keep them.
Everything you write.
Your tasks — the text, when each was written, and when each expires — live in a database inside the app on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no sync, and no server. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.
Your settings — accent, appearance, haptics, and your morning digest preference — are stored on the device.
Your clearance counts — how many tasks you cleared and how many receded on each day — are stored on the device as numbers only.
Seventide never stores the words of a task once it is finished or has receded. When you clear a task or let it go, the app adds 1 to a count for that day and deletes the text. There is no archive, no completed list, no trash can, and no hidden history. This is not a setting; it is how the app is built. It means there is no record of what you have been doing in Seventide for anyone to obtain, including us.
If you delete the app, or use Settings → Erase everything, all of it is gone from your device. We have no copy, because we never had one.
If you turn on the morning digest, Seventide schedules notifications on your device, using the local notification system built into iOS. The names of tasks reaching their last day appear in that notification because your phone composes it locally. Nothing is sent to a server to make this work, and we cannot see it.
Seventide is free, and ads are what pay for it. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google is an independent controller of the data it collects through those ads; its handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
What Google may collect. To serve, cap, and measure ads, and to detect fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as Apple's Advertising Identifier), advertising interaction data (ads shown, tapped), coarse device and app information, and your IP address. Where you have allowed tracking, these may be used to personalize ads and may be linked to you across other apps and websites.
What Google never gets. AdMob receives nothing you write. Not a task, not a word of one, not how many you have, not your clearance number. None of it is passed to Google or to any advertiser, in any form. The ads are not targeted using anything you record in this app — and because Seventide never stores the text of a task you finished or let go, most of it does not exist to share.
Your choices.
Tracking. Before any tracking occurs, iOS shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads become non-personalized and no tracking identifier is used. Nothing in the app is withheld either way. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland). Where required, a Google-certified consent message appears before any ad loads, and you can reopen your choices at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the app.
Remove ads. Buying Seventide Pro turns off all advertising, and the AdMob SDK stops requesting ads.
Apple's attribution. The app includes Apple's SKAdNetwork identifiers, a privacy-preserving system that lets advertisers measure campaign performance without identifying you.
Where ads never appear. There are exactly two places an ad can be: below the last task on a list of five or more, and under the Review screen's content. There is no ad during the tide wash — the moment your tasks go out — none on a short list, none on a task's last day, none in the Keep, none in onboarding, none on the paywall, and no full-screen ad anywhere in the app.
Seventide Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account. The app only asks the system whether a purchase exists on this device.
Seventide Pro is Family Shareable and there is no subscription.
There are none. Seventide contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter of our own, and no telemetry. We do not know how many tasks you write, whether you clear them, or whether you open the app at all.
We make no network requests at all. The only things in the app that talk to anything outside your device are the App Store, when you tap purchase or restore, and Google's ad SDK, described above. Neither one is us, and neither one is ever given a word of what you wrote.
Seventide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the free version shows third-party advertising, we ask that children under 13 not use the app without a parent or guardian.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. The data is on your device and is fully under your control: Settings → Erase everything removes it, and deleting the app removes it.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and the new version is published at this address.
