Welcome to my homepage! I am Seunghyun, you can see the pronunciation of my name here. I also go by Sky. Here is a copy of my CV.
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics at Harvard University, mentored by Prof. Pragya Sur. I recently completed my Ph.D. in Statistics from Columbia University, co-advised by Profs. Sumit Mukherjee and Yuqi Gu. Before that, I received my undergraduate degree in Statistics and Mathematics from Seoul National University.
I am interested in statistical inference in parametric models with intractable likelihoods. Below are more details:
Statistics: Graphical models; High-dimensional statistics; Variational inference; Bayes and Empirical Bayes
Applied probability: Ising models
Psychometrics and machine learning: Mixture models; Cognitive diagnostic models; Generative AI
In my spare time, I enjoy table tennis, board games, swimming, and watching baseball. I am a wine lover, and I have the WSET level 3 award in wines. I have a pet dog (she is also named Sky) back in Korea.
