How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a single cable that turns your USB-C phone or laptop into a wired connection for car stereos, speakers and any 3.5mm gear you already own, choose Seulliya USB C; if you need actual USB-C earbuds in your ears with noise isolation and touch controls, choose LUDOS OMNITONE USB C.
• Seulliya USB C — biggest strength: it is a USB-C to 3.5mm aux adapter cable, so it lets a USB-C device feed any car stereo, home stereo, speaker or pair of 3.5mm headphones you already own, with no drivers or software to install.
• Seulliya USB C — biggest trade-off: it is not a pair of earbuds. It makes no sound on its own, so you still need a 3.5mm headphone or a speaker to plug into the other end.
• LUDOS OMNITONE USB C — biggest strength: it is a complete pair of USB-C in-ear earbuds with a dynamic driver, 32 ohm impedance, sound isolation, touch and button call control, and a protective case in the box.
• LUDOS OMNITONE USB C — biggest trade-off: everything is built in, so there is nothing to plug your own headphones into. If you love a specific pair of 3.5mm cans, these can't drive them.
• Who each pick is for: the Seulliya cable is for people who already own good 3.5mm headphones or want music in an older car stereo; the LUDOS OMNITONE is for people who want earbuds in the box and nothing else to buy.
The Seulliya USB C is a 3.3 ft white adapter cable with a USB-C plug on one end and a 3.5mm aux jack on the other. That single design decision defines everything about it. Modern phones, tablets and laptops dropped the headphone jack, but the 3.5mm port never disappeared from car stereos, home stereos, portable speakers and wired headphones. This cable is the bridge. Plug the USB-C end into your phone, plug the 3.5mm end into whatever you already own, and you're done. No software, no drivers, no setup screen.
Inside, there is a built-in DAC decoding chip, and Seulliya rates the cable at up to 16-bit/48 KHz with low power consumption and stable decoding. In plain terms, that is a proper digital-to-analog conversion stage rather than a passive pass-through, which is exactly what a phone without a headphone jack needs to output analog audio at all. The cable itself is soft TPE with a rated 15,000+ bend lifespan — several times what Seulliya claims for typical aux cords — and it's light enough to coil up and forget in a glovebox or bag.
Compatibility is broad and clearly listed: iPhone 16/16 Pro/16 Plus/16 Pro Max, 15 series, Samsung Galaxy S23 through S8 families including the Note line, Google Pixel 7 and 6 series, iPad mini 6, iPad Pro 2018–2021, iPad Air 4 and 5th gen, iMac 2021 M1, MacBook Pro 2023 and MacBook Air 2020/2022. If your device has USB-C and no headphone jack, this is the missing link.
Buy it if you want to keep using the wired headphones and car stereo you already like, or if you want a backup cable that lives in your car permanently. Skip it if you need something that actually produces sound by itself — that's not what a dongle cable is. And skip it if you're looking for in-ear earbuds; you'd be buying half a solution.
The LUDOS OMNITONE USB C is the other half of that equation: a finished pair of wired USB-C in-ear earphones, purple, with a metal enclosure and rounded ear tips. No dongle, no extra purchase. The USB-C plug goes straight into your device and the sound comes out of the earpieces.
The spec sheet reads like a product built around two ideas: block the outside world, keep the music in. LUDOS calls out sound isolation that blocks distracting background noise in public settings, and explicitly says the earbuds don't leak your audio to people around you. For anyone who has sat on a train or in a waiting room trying not to broadcast a podcast, that's the whole pitch. The dynamic driver and 32 ohm impedance are the kind of numbers that pair comfortably with phones and laptops without needing a headphone amp. LUDOS also claims "immersive" sound with spatial and directional audio for music, movies and games — that's marketing language, but the driver type and impedance at least support the idea of a normal, easy-to-drive listen.
The comfort angle is worth noting too. LUDOS designed the soft earpiece to sit snugly without the aching feeling that shows up after an hour of wear. If you've ever had earbuds that felt fine for ten minutes and unbearable for sixty, you know why that sentence matters.
Compatibility is the other strength: iPhone 17 through 15 families, iPad Pro 2021/2020/2018, iPad Mini 6th gen, iPad 10th gen, MacBook Pro 14"/16", MacBook Air M1, a long list of Galaxy S and A phones plus Z Flip and Fold models, Galaxy Tab S5e through S8, Pixel 10 down to Pixel 4, Motorola Edge 2021, and laptops like the Dell XPS 13 and Surface Laptop 4. LUDOS also bundles a protective case and backs the earphones with a 5-year warranty and 24/7 customer support.
Buy them if you want USB-C earbuds with touch and button call control, isolation from the room around you, and a case in the box. Skip them if your heart is set on using your own 3.5mm headphones — these can't do that job.
• Best if you already own great 3.5mm headphones → Seulliya USB C. It turns them into USB-C headphones for the price of a cable.
• Best if you want earbuds in the box → LUDOS OMNITONE USB C. Nothing else to buy, nothing else to carry.
• Best for older car stereos → Seulliya USB C. The 3.3 ft aux run is exactly what an Aux-in port wants, and the TPE jacket tolerates being coiled in a glovebox.
• Best for noisy commutes and shared spaces → LUDOS OMNITONE USB C. Sound isolation and no audio leakage are the points LUDOS built the product around.
• Best for long listening sessions → LUDOS OMNITONE USB C. The rounded-tip, soft-earpiece design is explicitly aimed at avoiding that after-an-hour ache.
• Best for call handling → LUDOS OMNITONE USB C. Touch and button call control are built into the earbuds; the Seulliya cable has no microphone or controls listed.
• Best for a desk or laptop setup → either, depending on gear. Seulliya if a 3.5mm speaker or headphone is already on your desk; LUDOS if you want earbuds for calls and music at the machine.
• Best for peace of mind on longevity → LUDOS OMNITONE USB C on warranty (5 years), Seulliya on cable durability (15,000+ bends). Two different kinds of reassurance.
In my opinion, the LUDOS OMNITONE USB C is the safer buy for most people, because it is a finished product: earbuds, isolation, touch controls, a case and a 5-year warranty in one box, with no dependencies on gear you may or may not own. That said, I would genuinely pick the Seulliya USB C if you already love a pair of 3.5mm headphones or need music through an older car stereo — it costs you almost nothing in bulk and does one job very well. Buy the LUDOS for the ears; buy the Seulliya for the things you already plug in.
how to use usb c headphones on mac
Plug the USB-C connector into a USB-C port on your Mac. Both products list Mac support — the LUDOS OMNITONE works as USB-C earbuds directly, and the Seulliya cable lets you connect 3.5mm headphones or speakers to a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or iMac M1. Then select the device as your audio output in System Settings.
how to use usb c headphones on android phone
Connect the USB-C plug to your phone's charging port. The LUDOS OMNITONE is listed as compatible with a wide range of Galaxy, Pixel and Motorola USB-C phones that lack a headphone jack. If you use the Seulliya cable instead, plug your 3.5mm headphones into the other end. No drivers or software are needed on either.
how to use usb c headphones on android
Same idea across the Android ecosystem: USB-C plug in, audio routes automatically. LUDOS lists Galaxy S24/S23/S22/S21, Z Flip and Fold, Pixel 10 down to Pixel 4 and Galaxy Tab S5e–S8 support. The Seulliya adapter covers the same category of USB-C devices for 3.5mm gear.
how to use usb c headphones on ps5
Neither data sheet lists PlayStation 5 compatibility — LUDOS lists phones, tablets, iPads, MacBooks, Dell XPS 13 and Surface Laptop 4, and Seulliya lists phones, tablets, Macs and iPads. For a PS5, check the console's own supported USB audio devices before buying, since these two are marketed around mobile and computer use.
