How to Setup Your Canon Printer?

To connect your Printer to Wi-Fi, first you should turn on the printer just by pressing the Power button. Keep in mind the Power LED light should be green in color.

After this, you should press the Menu button and you will see the Network Settings screen.

To establish a connection, you should choose Wireless LAN Settings option and then you will view a pop-up box on your printer screen. And then hit on OK button.

And then select the SSID Settings option and then choose Access Point. Next, you have to choose your network name and then enter the Wi-Fi security key.

Wait till you view the message on the printer screen that Connected and then hit on OK button.

At last, go to your router and press the WPS button. Then, on the printer screen, you will view the Connected status and then hit on OK button.

To download the Canon driver, you should go to the official website of Canon and just download the Canon Printer Drivers. For this, open the web browser and then write ij.start.canon in the search box and tap on Enter key.

After this, you should hit on the Setup tab and you will view the Product Name window on the screen. Now, you should enter your model number in the search field. Here, you should tap on the Go button and you will view the product download window on the screen.

Next, you should download the driver which is compatible with your operating system. For this, go to the OS field which is located at the upper-right side and then choose the OS. Then, click on the Download button which is there at the center of the screen to download.

According to your Wi-Fi speed, the driver will download in few minutes. After downloading, install the Printer driver of ij.start.canon.

For installing, you should access the Downloads folder for running the downloaded file. After this, you should double-tap on the downloaded setup file and then tap on Run option for extracting the files.

After this, Canon driver setup main interface will be there on your screen. Now, you should verify the language to operate the printer. If you want to edit it, then tap on the Language tab and it will show you other options. Then, you should select the language and tap on Next option from main screen.

To set up connection between the printer and computer, you can use USB connection or wireless connection. Once the printer is linked, then select your printer. According to your printer model, it will show you the driver and the software lists.

Now, you should enable the checkboxes of the software package and check the space for downloading the printer driver. After this, hit on Next button.

Here, you will view the License agreement window on your screen. Read the agreement and accept the License Agreement. After this, tap on Yes option. It will start the installation of your driver and software.

Once you setup the driver, you should check the functioning of your printer just by printing a page. For this, the printer tray should be of A4 size pages.

Here, you should hit on the Execute button and then the printer will print a page.

At last, you will view the driver setup through ij.start.canon.
