This Privacy Policy describes how SettlePay ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android mobile application. This policy is written in clear and simple language and is compliant with the Google Play User Data Policy.
We collect only the minimum information necessary for the app to function. You may sign in using Google Sign-In or by creating an account using your email address and password.
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address. When you sign up using email and password, we collect your email address for account identification and authentication purposes. Passwords are securely handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to or stored by us in plain text. We also store the data you voluntarily enter into the app, including transaction amounts, remarks, and names of friends associated with records.
Your information is used only to operate app features and is never sold or rented. We use your data to identify your account, provide core app functionality such as tracking records, and store and sync your data securely using Firebase Cloud Firestore.
We use trusted Google services that are essential for app functionality. Google Sign-In is used for authentication and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Firebase Cloud Firestore is used to securely store and sync user-entered data. Google Play Services is used indirectly to support Google Sign-In and ensure proper functioning of the app on Android devices. We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
This app does not use or collect Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, advertisements, push notifications, financial data such as passwords, bank details, card numbers, UPI IDs, PINs, or OTPs, or sensitive device permissions including precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, or microphone.
We take data protection seriously. Your information is secured using Google’s Firebase Cloud Firestore, which employs industry-standard security measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
We retain your information only while your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at settlepay01@gmail.com, and we will process your request promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
