Sethakech, also known as "Economics" in English, is an online platform dedicated to providing a comprehensive understanding of economics, primarily through social media channels, particularly on Facebook. The platform, which was created by a group of young scholars from Cambodia in May 2020, aims to expand its presence across other online platforms in the future. Sethakech emerged during the uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic. While many scientific analyses involve economists from around the world, particularly from the United States and Western countries, who work tirelessly to devise new regulations or interventions to address political debates and aid in economic recovery, the discourse in our country remains somewhat limited. Here, experts and scientific analysts seldom engage in discussions related to economic policy stimulus, economic and trade discussions, policy debates, or other topics concerning entrepreneurship and development.

Our vision is to provide a useful online platform to Cambodians that exclusively focuses on the concept of economics and to contribute to the series of analyzing the public interests, mainly to our local people, student majors in economics, policy-makers, development agencies, entrepreneurs, and others who are interested in.

Our mission aims to employ evidence-based economic debate in both practical and theorem ways; focusing on policy debating, analyzing, business career, entrepreneurship, and discovery the recommendations to inspire and empower the Cambodian people to achieve their public knowledge, socio-economic development, plus constructing changes to benefit all Cambodian people, and propose them the right decision which necessary to achieve the right goals.
