A Mac computer with Apple Configurator 2 installed
An iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV device that is supervised (either via Apple School Manager, Apple Business Manager, Apple Business Essentials, or manually using Apple Configurator 2)
A USB cable to connect the device to the Mac
The image or images you want to use as wallpaper (saved on the Mac)
Step 1: Connect the device to the Mac
First, you need to connect the supervised device to the Mac using a USB cable. Make sure the device is unlocked and trust the Mac if prompted. You should see the device appear in Apple Configurator 2.
Step 2: Modify the wallpaper settings
Next, you need to modify the wallpaper settings for the device. To do this, right-click on the device, choose the Modify menu and then Wallpapers from the Modify menu.
You will see a window where you can choose the image for the lock screen (the screen that is displayed when the device is locked) and the home screen (the background behind all your icons on each screen of the device). Use the Choose image button to browse and select the image you want for each screen. You can use the same image for both screens or different images.
You can also set lock screen text from this window. This is useful if you want to display some information or instructions on the lock screen, such as contact details or device policies. To do this, use the Custom Text button at the bottom of the window and enter the text you want to show on the lock screen.
Step 3: Apply the changes
Once you have chosen the images and text for the wallpaper settings, click on the Apply button. The device will install the new wallpaper and lock screen text. You may need to wait for a few seconds for the changes to take effect.
Now you can disconnect the device from the Mac and enjoy your customized wallpaper.
