Media resources

The media catalog and online research databases are available to teachers and students both at school and home. At school, all laptops and desktops should have the GCPS Media Catalog and Online Research Library icons. At home you will see those same icons under Teacher Resources in your employee portal. Students will also see the icons under Apps in MY eCLASS. Passwords won't be needed if you access through your GCPS portals. In case you do need to access passwords, here is a link.

Login and you can put books on hold, save favorites, make lists, and more.

Media Catalog

The media catalog allows you to browse all the resources that we offer in our media center: e-books, guided reading books, sound recordings, leveled readers and professional books.

Online Research Library

The online research library provides access to paid subscription databases for student research. Search for articles, images, e-books and more.

We do have over 500 e-books in our media catalog that students can read and thousands more can be found in our online research library. If you would like to find an e-book on a certain topic, let Mrs. Duncan know and she will happy to help you. Some books can be downloaded which makes accessing them even easier for our students.

need guided reading?

Do you need to assign reading to your students with books that are on their reading level? Mrs. Duncan has created an online library of e-books on my eCLASS page. These books are downloaded from Galileo and organized by Guided Reading level. You can download them and put them on your page or send students to my page to read. Let Mrs. Duncan know if you need more books on a certain level or topic and she will be happy to search search for more.

MyON (School Name: Get Georgia Reading, username: GwinnettCounty, password: read) and Capstone Interactive (username: continue password: reading) have provided free subscriptions to us during this time of digital learning. Both subscriptions allow students to search by their Guided Reading Level. In Mrs. Duncan's E-Book tutorial for both of these resources she shows students how to use this feature.
