What does this mean for me?
It means that you have been noticed to be "cheating" our services by the community. This is punishable.
Generally getting this message means that you have bypassed our filter by bumping your server and then hiding or deleting the bump channel after using the !bump
command, or you have a bot that is automatically purging messages with links, or you have removed ServerMates Administrator permissions, which has stopped all bump messages being received and sent to your server.
How to resolve:
If you are deleting the bump channel after using the !bump
command then follow Step 1...
If you have not given ServerMate administrator then follow Step 2...
If the bump messages are being automatically purged then follow Step 3...
If none of these are resolving the issue, then follow both steps 1, 2 & 3, if this does not work, remove the bot from your server and then add the bot back to your server, following the guide here
#bump channel being hovered over
Step 1.1:
Hover over #bump and then click on the cog that appears on the right
Channel settings containing channel topic
Step 1.2:
Click Delete Channel and then confirm the Deletion of the Channel
New #bump channel being hovered over
Step 1.3:
Create a channel called #bump
Step 2.1:
Click on the server name in the top left of your client, once the drop down has appeared, click on Server Settings (This should be the second option in the list) and then select Roles from the options list
Administrator Permission enabled
Step 2.2:
Find the white (Default colour) role named ServerMate
(If this does not exist, make a role called this) and then enable the permission Administrator
Step 2.3:
Save your changes and then close the settings menu
Step 2.3.I:
(If you have had to create a role for the bot, click on the ServerMate Bot and assign it the newly created ServerMate
role)
Step 3.1:
Unfortunately we cannot show you how to do this, but many bots allow you to run a settings
command that allows you to toggle a bot to send invite links.
Is this a bad situation to be in?
No! As long as you are only warned and then rectify the situation, the managers should allow you to continue to use the bot in your server. But remember: If you get banned from use, all of the servers that you own will not be able to use our services.
