This Privacy Policy explains how Sernheise ("the App") handles your information and protects your privacy.
Data Collection and Usage
Sernheise is designed to provide photo and video editing tools — including detail/clarity enhancement, filters, and related image-processing effects — directly on your device.
All image and video processing happens locally on your device using on-device rendering. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information.
Information We Access
We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal data to use Sernheise.
Photos and videos you choose to edit are accessed only to perform the editing operations you request, and are processed entirely on-device.
Permissions
To function as a photo/video editor, Sernheise may request the following Android permissions:
- Photos/Media (or Storage, depending on Android version): Required to let you select images and videos to edit and save your edited output back to your device.
- Camera (if applicable): Used only if you choose to capture a photo or video from within the App to edit.
Sernheise does not request access to:
- Contacts
- Microphone
- Location
- Bluetooth
- Phone
- Notifications
Internet Access
Sernheise's core editing features — including the Structure/clarity filter and other effects — operate entirely offline and do not require an internet connection.
Local Data Storage
The App stores a small amount of data locally on your device, including:
- App preferences and settings
- Theme settings
- Edited photos/videos you choose to save
- Temporary cache files created during editing
This data never leaves your device and is only removed if you explicitly clear the App's data, delete the files yourself, or uninstall the App.
Third-Party Services
Sernheise does not include or integrate with:
- Analytics SDKs
- Tracking services
- User profiling
- Background data collection
Data Sharing
We respect your privacy and do not share your data. Specifically, we do not:
- Sell your personal data
- Share your photos, videos, or information with advertisers or third parties
- Upload your photos, videos, or edits to any servers
- Collect unnecessary personal information
Security
Because Sernheise processes and stores your photos and videos entirely on-device, your media and edits remain isolated to your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect data stored locally on your device.
Children's Privacy
Sernheise is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published within the App or on the official project page.
