I am associate professor (professor agregat), at the Economic History department of the University of Barcelona (UB). I have also been visiting researcher at the University of Kent (2007), the University of California-Davis (2009) and the London School of Economics (2016).

My research interests are the economic history of the welfare state and redistribution, and more generally the role of the state in the economy.

Currently, I am also a member of the Academic Committee of the Master in Institutions and Political Economy and Director of the PhD Program in Economic History, both at UB.
