About me

I am a Post-doctoral Researcher in Economics at the University of Padua.

Research Interests

My main interests are in Macroeconomics and Information Economics. In my work on 'Optimal Welfare-to-Work Programs with Worker Profiling' (here!), I study the optimal design of welfare-to-work programs endowed with policy instruments that profile welfare recipients to match them with suitable labor-market policies. I show that the welfare provider may find it optimal to profile a part of low-skilled workers as high-skilled, to induce higher job-finding expectations on them and have them search for jobs at mild incentive costs. The optimal profiling program reproduces salient features of the US Reemployment and Eligibility Assessment initiative.
