Med Tech - Resident Care Facility (RCF)
Full-time / Part-time / PRN
Pay Rate: $22.00 -$23.00
Schedule to be discussed at time of interview.

The Medication Technician is responsible for the safe administration, documentation, and monitoring of resident medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policies. This role also provides direct resident care and works closely with the nursing team to ensure each resident receives personalized, compassionate support.
Administer and document medications accurately following physician orders and the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs) and complete documentation immediately after medications are given.
Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, or changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
Order medication refills in advance to ensure uninterrupted medication availability and notify nursing of any delays.
Obtain and record vital signs when required prior to medication administration.
Administer PRN medications according to physician orders and document resident response.
Immediately report all medication errors or discrepancies to the nursing team.
Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
Identify and report safety concerns or changes in resident condition.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, and personal hygiene as needed.
Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
Follow all infection control, safety, and state regulatory requirements.
Current Medication Aide/Medication Technician certification required (or state-approved equivalent).
Current First Aid/CPR certification as required by state regulations.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience administering medications in an Assisted Living, Residential Care Facility, Skilled Nursing, or Memory Care community preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
One or more years of medication administration experience in senior living.
Experience working alongside licensed nurses in an Assisted Living or Residential Care setting.
Familiarity with electronic medication administration records (eMAR) preferred.
