What are readers saying?

This will not disappoint!!

As a grief and trauma therapist who has worked with families in crisis for many years, I am thrilled to have read Sarah’s book and to find something so very practical for Moms! This book is packed with great tangible tools to use as you navigate the many thoughts, emotions and scenarios that being a Mother (or parent for that matter) can bring.

I recently did a podcast with Sarah and she does such a great job sharing her story and will be relatable to anyone, despite having a different story than hers. I have 4 children, now all teenagers, and I found the tools to be an excellent resources that I will use personally and professionally with my own clients as I now solely coach Mothers.

This is a quick read and would make a great gift for any Mother or Mother-to-be.

This is a real life mom's story, full of frustration, discovery, realistic compromise and JOY.

This book is an unvarnished, soul baring account of how a busy working mom struggled, and gave up on breastfeeding her first child. After overcoming her original mindset (which made her feel like a failure), she persevered and found a more realistic and less stressful path for feeding her second child. Lots of good tips, links to her website, and stories from other moms as well. -Michelle T

"As a mum who has suffered with severe breastfeeding problems and supply issues the title resonated with me - as did the contents. This book is an interesting mix of the author's personal story and emotions, useful information and practical advice and exercises. I will definitely re-read before having a second child."

"This book is an amazing resource for any soon to be mom or mom who is in the throes of a breastfeeding journey that might not be going as expected! This book will not only support you and guide you as you enter through the many ups and downs of breastfeeding, but it will help to support you through many of the challenges of parenthood and beyond. The strategies and tools that Sarah shares will be something that each and every reader can use from day one with their precious new bundle of joy. The toolkit that she provides is necessary for any and all momma's out there. Each breastfeeding journey is an adventure and Sarah gives everyone the tools they need to find their very own success! -Heather S.

"It left me feeling anything is possible and it gives hope to new moms currently breastfeeding. I'd love for my daughter to read it. It's for new moms, but is also so much more. It's like you're getting two books in one! Loved it, Sarah!! You are an inspiration and positive role model to all women!!"- Mary R

"The author bring things to light which lend to that “duh” lightbulb moment, without being judgey or condescending. So many “help” type writing comes from this tone of “I’m not perfect, there are days when I don’t even do one load of laundry, can you imagine that?!” Meanwhile, the majority of us are over here like- I have a toddler and I’m pretty sure we may have size 3 month clothes in the bottom of a hamper somewhere... so the standard of “letting things go” just isn’t relatable. Her tone is different. It’s real, relatable, and it’s judgement free- I LOVE it!" - Brittany J

"I loved the book, being that I’m very busy with 5 little ones it was an easy read and didn’t bore me at all.

I loved how honest you were. It made me feel like I’m not the only one who feels overwhelmed or worthless when things aren’t going the way I had “planned”.

After successfully breastfeeding 4 children (and even having a tough start with the 4th baby), I’m not able to breastfeed my 5th baby. We’ve had so many struggles. So this book came at the PERFECT time for me. It’s my first time being a formula mom. Thank for your optimism and your encouragement. I hope and pray this book opens many more doors for you. You are incredibly talented in everything you touch". - Andrea K.

"I received this book as a gift from my lactation consultant a few weeks ago. I started reading it every time I pumped, and it gave me a huge sense of relief. After have a breast reduction over a decade ago I thought I shouldn’t have any issues with breast feeding or pumping but when the time came and I did have issues I felt alone and isolated and also like I wasn’t a good mother. This book opened me up into a new world of support. Even after reading her book I joined the Fb Group that was mentioned in the book. The support and the community around BFAR has blown my mind and I am grateful this book landed in my lap. Definitely a must read if you are struggling or not struggling with BFAR!"
