Greetings!
The Vedas and the religious sciences that manifest from the sacred blessings of God are known to man by God’s own glorious blessings. Not specifically mentioning the material methods adopted in the world, they speak of the three qualities of temple, soul and love.
The author of this work “Guru Mani” has presented rare materials like high philosophy, science of acquisition of mystic powers, explanation of the Vedas and research into the Upanishads, sung in a very simple way that can be understood by every one today. In his verses, one finds the embodiment of the explanation of all three meanings – literature, music and drama, shining every where. The author’s objectives are all beyond human nature and it can also be said that his book shows the eminent path to find God.
In several places, the author’s profound opinions equal and support those of the Siththars (a class of devas). The meaning in the verses dispels the darkness of the mind that provides light to spread grace. They are very subtle and provide pleasant food for the hearts of the learned and afford remedy for the minds of the others.
Long live Guru Bawa! Long live his gracious gift, "Guru Mani"
Every advice for good conduct by Guru Bawa
Is an embodiment of grace as thou can see.
He has gifted with grace the bliss of the two worlds,
He has spoken with glory of the exalted bliss.
He has conveyed methods of the path of power,
He has advised control, supported by six wisdoms.
He has elucidated the paths within it,
He has told of breath of sun, moon and apex.
He has indicated sensual pleasure is yogic substance.
He has mentioned scientific blissful path,
That operates through mind, food and life.
He has shown us God in this world of decay,
The Primal One who exists in past, present and future.
He has revealed that man can become a manu-eesan.
So tread on the path which Guru Bawa guides you,
Realise the main pulse of his teachings,
And stand the way he has preached.
You will then reach the feet of the Creator,
The cultured pearl that Guru Bawa exhibits!
O Guru the pearl ! O cultured pearl!
O glorious pearl of wisdom!
O Guru Bawa, purity of bliss!
Those who listen to your glorious words
Will exist for ever ! Will prosper forever!
Will receive your grace in full measure.
The pearl of wisdom is a necklace,
A garland for our minds.
Wisdom’s pearl that dispels our darkness
Sculptured in our minds in indelible words,
“ Long live, Pearl of Wisdom”!
Guru Bawa’s gift to us of a necklace of pearls.
Many a book have we seen in this world,
But never a unique book such as this!
If you wish to acquire knowledge,
If you desire bliss of exalted pleasure,
Then treasure this book with care!
