SEO and UX Proving Two Is Better Than One

Unlike before when Search Engine Optimization and User Experience designers saw each other as competitors, they have to work together to ensure a company’s website has qualified traffic and conversation. Customers know what they want and search engines have had no other choice but to evolve to suit clients’ needs. To keep customers coming, websites should be able to build trust, answer questions, provide services and sell products. Unfortunately, if a site does not meet the customers’ expectations, they will look for answers from competitors.

SEO primary focus is to drive traffic to a website. It focuses on external elements and architecture. Search engines with the use of algorithms identify what people are searching for online. By using links and keywords, SEO is able to rank web properties in search engine results page hence identifying, publishing and optimizing contents to attract qualified traffic.

UX engages customers in the website. It designs the website in a way that reduces distraction to maximize conversion. While at a website, a customer should enjoy the experience thus ensuring they spend more time and may recommend other people to the site as well. UX influences how people view the site in relation to relevance, authority, and trust. If a customer does not get what they are looking for or have a hard time navigating through a website, there is low chance they will visit again.

Combining the two

Both SEO and UX are useful in their own different ways. However, the only way to ensure that the company is making money is combining the two. While UX has content optimization insight and website framework that SEO needs for ranking in SERPs, SEO has data to assist UX to produce a personalized experience. SEO and UX teams teaming up will ensure optimization of a website.

UX importance to SEO

SEO data shows general user’s trend, but the team needs UX team to identify specific issues that influence client’s interaction with the website. UX team would design a website that gives the clients what they need increasing the use. A fast and engaging website will attract more traffic and intern raise the rank in SERPs. The ranking is an important aspect of SEO.

SEO influence to UX

UX team needs SEO data to use as a sample size of the total clients. This data shows what people need and UX uses it to create a website design that will capture the attention of customers. Without SEOs help UX team will not know exactly what adjustments to make or how to improve the website to retain the current customers and attract more. Making a company’s web user-friendly will keep profits rising. The only way of making it sufficient is using tools that only SEO can provide.

Since making profits is every company’s dream, the management should combine SEO and UX team to achieve their goal. Separating the two will not only result in little profit, but it will also not turn visitors to clients. This means that visitors will not have the need to come back. A website is not useful if there is no traffic and it is also useless if the traffic is not from the intended users. As SEO looks for traffic for the website, the UX ensures maximum conversion and together a company makes money that it would not have made had it done it otherwise.
