This Privacy Policy describes how Sensors Editor (the "App"), developed by EC ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your personal information, health data, and device sensors.
To ensure complete transparency and alignment with our Google Play Store listing:
App Name: Sensors Editor
Developer Name: EC (Individual Developer)
Store Listing Alignment: This privacy policy applies specifically to the "Sensors Editor" application published on the Google Play Store under the developer name EC.
The App accesses sensor data to provide its core automation features. Here is how we handle this data:
What We Access: The App requests permission to access Body Sensors (specifically android.permission.BODY_SENSORS to read the device's Heart Rate sensor) and Physical Activity (specifically android.permission.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION to read step detection sensors).
Direct Sensor Access: We use standard Android hardware APIs for real-time sensor reading. We do not use Health Connect or other cross-app data-sharing frameworks.
How We Access it: We access these sensors only when you actively configure and enable a trigger that relies on health or physical activity data (e.g., "Trigger action if heart rate exceeds 100 BPM").
How We Use it: The accessed health and activity data is processed in real-time on your device solely to evaluate user-defined trigger conditions.
No Sharing or Selling: We never share, sell, lease, or transmit your health or fitness data to any third-party advertisers, cloud databases, or external partners. All processing is kept strictly local.
In addition to health data, the App accesses the following device features for automation purposes:
Location: Used locally to evaluate distance/GPS coordinates for user-configured triggers.
Microphone: Used locally to measure ambient decibel levels. No audio recordings or voice data are ever saved or transmitted.
Camera (Flash/Torch): Used to toggle the device flashlight as an action.
Device State: Battery status, RAM usage, Screen Lock state, Airplane Mode.
Strictly Offline Processing: Sensors Editor is a strictly offline application. The App does not have the android.permission.INTERNET permission and cannot communicate with any external servers.
No Data Retention: We do not collect, retain, store, or log your personal data, sensor history, or health data on any external servers. Sensor readings are processed in memory and discarded immediately after evaluation.
Local Storage Only: The only data saved on your device is your own custom Trigger Configurations (rules) and a local Activation History log. Both remain stored strictly within the App's private local storage.
You have absolute control over all data stored on your device:
How to Delete Local Data: You can delete all your configurations and logs at any time by:
Clearing the App's storage and cache via Android System Settings.
Uninstalling the App, which permanently and immediately deletes all local configurations.
Formal Deletion Requests: Because we do not transmit, collect, or store any of your data on our servers, we hold no data of yours to delete.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
