What is Senior Expo 2021?

Traditionally within Communication Arts, the Senior Expo is an event for Seniors to showcase their work, sell their merchandise, advertise themselves.

This year, because of Covid-19 we are moving Senior Expo online and will be virtually tabling!

We will be using Gather.town -an 8bit game-like program with similar functions to zoom- up on April 19th for Seniors to prepare and customize their work to get ready to showcase on April 30th - starting at 3 pm!

Alongside this, we will be making a website and video for people to showcase: the video will be like a teaser to the event and highlight people's merchandise being sold, and explain how to attend, while the website will be an information hub, and showcase people's merchandise in a more tangible form.

What is Gather.town?

Gather.town is essentially a game with all the features of an 8 bit video game (Stardew Valley), within a browser.

Compatible with OS and Windows, it allows for screen sharing, communicating, world building, and customization with a lot of people for an extended period of time!
