“Mathematics knows no races or geographical boundaries;
for mathematics, the cultural world is one country ”
for mathematics, the cultural world is one country ”
This research seminar in Mathematical Analysis and Applied Mathematics aims to explore the latest advances and innovative approaches in these fundamental branches of mathematics. Through lectures, discussions, and presentations, we seek to create a space for academic exchange between experts, researchers, and students, fostering collaboration and deepening the mathematical methods that enable us to tackle complex problems in both theoretical and practical areas. The seminar is held in periodic online sessions, conducted in either Spanish or English.
Although the seminar primarily focuses on the development of these topics in Latin America, it also seeks to foster international collaboration and exchange. By highlighting the particular challenges and opportunities faced by researchers in the region, we aim to encourage the growth of mathematical knowledge and its application within Latin American contexts. At the same time, we welcome participation from global experts to promote a broader, more diverse exchange of ideas and perspectives.
The seminar is held every two weeks, on Fridays from 11:00 to 13:00 (Dominican Republic time), i.e. from 16:00 to 18:00 (Madrid time).
The duration of each session will be 50 minutes for presentation, plus 30 minutes for discussion and answering questions.
Recordings of past seminars are available on the GAMMA Seminar YouTube channel, to which you can subscribe to receive notifications about the publication of new content.
If you are interested in receiving periodic notifications of links to attend the seminars, please send an email to gammaseminario@gmail.com
Seminars are conducted via Google Meet or Zoom, as appropriate.
The talks can be in Spanish or English, while the slides are in English.
