Dr. Zhijin Qin received the B.S. degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 2012 and the Ph.D. degree from the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), London, U.K., in 2016. She has been with Imperial College London as a research associate and Lancaster University as a Lecturer from 2016 to 2018. Since August 2018, she has been a Lecturer with QMUL. Her research interests include semantic communications, compressive sensing, and low-power wide area networks for IoT applications. She is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, and IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking. She was the recipient of the 2017 IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award and the 2018 IEEE Signal Processing Society Young Author Best Paper Award.
