This means, in concrete terms, that you can earn money online even while sleeping! Beyond the financial aspect, e-learning courses have completely revolutionized traditional learning. Training accessible from anywhere, at any time, reduced costs, the advantages are numerous for the learner, as for the teacher. etc Wondering how to sell online courses? Here are 5 steps that will help you do it
So, here we are, you want to sell online courses, right?
Want to sell on Podia (the best for me) for example and don't want to go on Udemy because really the commission is outrageous? I can understand and for example, in my case, I use both. I sell on Udemy small courses and large ones through my own means.
In short, it is because you also want to monetize your online presence in this way that you are about to read this article, isn't it?
Heard hundreds of guys tell you that selling online courses is one of the best businesses in the world? It is perhaps the simplest and the one that pays the most in terms of investment to provide / work to be done.
Yes, I will not contradict them. If you too want to start an online business that is related to the sale of online training, you know what? Go!!
I will give you here the best tools to organize and set up your new business.
Sometimes, instead of focusing on the content of our courses, we waste our time looking for the right software, watching tutorial videos, analyzing reviews, etc.
In short, a complete waste of time. That's why I wanted to write this article: show you the 5 clear and neat steps to be able to sell your online training quickly.
Here are the 5 steps (and tools) you need to create your first online training and monetize your blog or online business.
1- Step One: Find a site to host your video lessons: Podia or Learnybox
Podia is the simplest and most intuitive platform that exists to sell your training online simply. There are a lot of interesting features and above all, it is aesthetic and simple to set up. Within 15 minutes, you will have your site and training ready to purchase.
For the cool features, I would say there is the Chat option, that is to say that you can communicate directly with your potential customers who are connected to your page. Likewise, you have paid member options. That is to say, you can allow your customers to subscribe to a monthly offer so that they can have access to your products.
So, to conclude, if you already have an email list and potential customers, maybe you can use other platforms like LearnyBox.
Note: you can also use teachable which is just as well
2. Step 2 (Optional) Take a tool to present your presentations: Webinar Ninja
Know that personally, I do not always use webinars. I find that it is not essential for all areas. But, hey, again, that's just my opinion. That said, it's true that in terms of conversion and sales, it's a great tool!!
If you don't know what a Webinar is, I'll tell you quickly: It's a site that allows you to make videos online, live and can be rebroadcast whenever you want. You must have seen it, because it is really widely used among entrepreneurs who want to sell training online.
What remains true is that according to statistics and the words of infopreneurs, this allows you to multiply the sales of your training courses. Why? Because in a webinar you can calmly explain and present (and sell) your online training well.
The process is quite simple: You simply send an email to your email list, and they will choose a date for a webinar in which they can register. The webinar then presents the training and it ends with the purchase of the training.
For example, if you invite 20 people to attend your webinar, you can eventually convert 5 of them to buy your training. Do the math if you invite more people and if your conversion power is better, it can be great for you. That's why infopreneurs still use webinars and I think it's not going to stop there.
It really works. WebinarNinja is a great choice if you're new to selling online training. There are many sites to create your webinars like WebinarJam, but in my opinion, Webinar Ninja is an excellent choice. I remind you that you can also do without webinars, right
3. A tool to capture emails with systeme.io
When you invite people to register for your webinar, you will necessarily send reminder emails to let them know that the webinar will start soon, for example.
Also, if you have for example chosen Webinar Ninja, know that the site also allows you to create an email capture to send messages to your subscribers. That said, WebinaireNinja's internal messaging is specific to your webinar. That is to say that you will not be able to use it in another setting.
So, it is necessary to have an email capture to capture the emails of people interested in your offers.
You can include it in your blog or any other site and especially create a landing page dedicated to your training or to something else (like a capture for an ebook or another product).
This is why, in general, we always have another email capture page. With systeme.io, you can also notify your subscriber list of the presentation of your webinar, for example.
systeme.io actually has a lifetime free trial, i.e. you can open a free account for life and without using a credit card!, so you can try it out without taking any risk before deciding on it definitively
I personally use systeme.io because it is simple, intuitive and is the best value for money, compared to others. Well, I also like other services, it's true but let's say that systeme.io is very easy to use, especially for beginners.
4. Devices to create your training: a webcam and a microphone
You can certainly do a webinar without a specific webcam or microphone. Only, if you still want to go a little more professional, it would be good to invest at least in a microphone, because the sound quality is very important in a webinar and especially in your training.
5. Create content with slides and editing
As you probably know, when we do training, we show slideshows or we film our screen. Of course, there are also passages according to your modules, where you simply speak in front of the camera.
In training sales, very often, of course, we explain things, and that's why we use slides.
So if you have a mac you can use keynote which is great or powerpoint if you have a windows one. And, if you want interesting effects, it's true that Google Slide is very practical.
Google Slides is a free solution in "Google Drive" that allows you to create presentations in powerpoint format.
When I make my presentations, I start by writing the outline. I record my voice with a microphone and then I create the visual by following my words.
Then, to put everything in coherence (the visual with the audio), I have a mac so I simply use iMovie which is free, but you can use other free software on windows.
It is not necessary to pay for this type of use because for video training, it is quite simple in idea. Slides that illustrate your point, embellished with screenshots as appropriate.
That's it, nothing more!
Conclusion: how to sell an online course without risk and without loss?
It's true that at first glance, when we want to sell an online course, we tend to think of this: creating the training and then selling it. However, there are other solutions to do it properly and with less risk.
Why am I talking about risk? In fact, I imagine that you don't want to spend more than 60 hours (yes, it can be very long) to create a complete course if no one ends up buying it, huh?
The right solution, therefore, is to give an overview only of your online training. In other words, pre-sell your online training. For example, in the webinar and in the sales page, outline what they will receive in the training. Most platforms allow you to charge for pre-sales online training like with Podia for example.
I hope I have been as clear as possible. I don't think I made a big detour to get straight to the point. Now, to sell your course online, do not hesitate to survey your audience beforehand.
If you really want to make big sales, you will need two things: as many people as possible registered on your list and above all a training that throws.
Because of course, here, I only showed the overall process and I did not go into details. For example, a sales page must be very well written to hope to have even more subscribers to your webinar or even to your capture page.
Are you just getting started, don't know where to start?
