Self Hypnosis

How Can Hypnosis Help People Lose Belly Fat?

To lose weight, people must first change their behavior about food. Weight Loss Hypnosis does not help an individual lose weight miraculously. But it creates a desire for change by modifying values such as respect, love, and self-esteem for one's body.

It also helps to maintain motivation in the long term, to anticipate "at risk" situations (going out to eat at a restaurant, shopping at the supermarket, etc.). This is one of the secrets of hypnosis: to be able to recreate images, sounds, and sensations inside the brain.

What techniques will a therapist use?

To mobilize the resources of a patient, the therapist uses, among other things, NLP (neurolinguistic programming) techniques: developed in 1972 by a professor of linguistics and a mathematician psychotherapist. This method aims to modify the person’s behavior patterns that help build his or her mental capabilities. The therapist also knows how to adapt to the problems of the patient.

Some people cannot hold back from that jar of ice cream, right? Think about it. The same goes for other sweets. But there are some who can’t stop eating vegetables, meats, and so on.

Find that you eat more at a restaurant than at home? Therapists propose that people imagine a supermodel in the same situation, and to visualize the model politely refusing that extra serving of chocolate cake and, instead, choose to eat a fruit salad. This helps the person slim down without any other help other than themselves!

How does the session proceed?

The individual settles in a reclining or flat position, with their eyes closed, in a calm room with light music playing in the background. The brain soaks in things when it perceives between five and nine types of simultaneous information. This is why Self Hypnosis works – it makes the brain more receptive because it minimizes external disturbances.

The therapist should not talk slowly or monotonously, otherwise, the brain picks up on inconsistencies. Each session lasts about fifteen minutes (or longer, depending on the patient). It seems short, but it can sometimes be a little difficult to go longer. Under hypnosis, the brain works at full capacity.
