Self Call — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026 · Applies to the Android app “Self Call”

Self Call works entirely on your device. It has no server, no accounts, and sends nothing over the internet.

How your data is handled

No real calls, no charges

Simulated calls are created locally through Android’s call system. The app never places or receives real phone calls and never interacts with your SIM card, carrier, or billing plan. It even works in Airplane mode.

No tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting. Nothing about you or your usage is collected or transmitted.

What the app stores

Caller profiles, scheduled and recent calls, recorded audio messages, and your settings are saved only on your device, in the app’s private storage that no other app can read. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Your contacts

Contacts are read only when you open the contact picker, and only the contact you select is saved (name, number, photo) as a caller profile — on your device, never anywhere else.

Bug reports

Reporting a bug opens your own email app with a message you write yourself. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

Permissions the app requests

Every permission exists for a single visible feature, is optional unless noted, and is used only on your device:

No permission is ever used to collect, transmit, or share data.

Children

Self Call does not collect data from anyone, including children, and contains no ads or in-app purchases.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date revised before the change ships.
