Rendering Process

(2D Basic Shapes)

This project was our first introduction to the 2D marker rendering skill and at first, it was quite tough to learn. The shadows, that were defined by the soft black pencil, the layers of the marker to darken some colour on some shadow spots. The hardest part for me, was the fact that we had to sketch everything from scratch. The proportions may not be accurate, but tried our best to make it close to the example. Controlling and understanding the marker's colour and layer was hard too. In some bits, it won't look as realistic when some colours are layered and some aren't. This was however a valuable project, as it taught the basics of marker rendering and what type of thing go into it. All the other marker rendering projects were based on this project, and shapes will be referred to this sheet of paper, as this has the essential shapes and rendering.
