FORGIVENESS
set yourself (or another) free
FORGIVENESS
set yourself (or another) free
1. POWERFUL QUOTE
“Forgiveness doesn’t excuse the past, it frees the future.”
2. REFLECTION ON THE YEAR
Think back to a moment this year when holding onto something, a mistake, a memory, a comment, a disappointment — made you feel heavy.
Now ask yourself: Did holding on, help me? Or did it keep me stuck?
Forgiveness is a reflection of loving yourself enough to move on, to loosen the grip of what hurt, and to make space for something new.
3. EASY STEP FOR TODAY & BEYOND
Sit or stand comfortably.
Take one slow breath in… and one slow breath out. Now, say this quietly to yourself in three steps:
1. Acknowledge
“Something / someone hurt me, and it’s okay that it did.”
2. Release
If forgiving yourself: “I release the version of me who didn’t know then what I know now.”
If forgiving someone else: “I free myself from this hurt. I am choosing my future, not my past.
3. Choose
“I choose to move forward lighter.”
As you exhale, let your shoulders drop. Imagine one small weight — even the smallest one — leaving your body.
That’s it. A moment of honesty, a moment of release, and a moment of choice. A tiny doorway into a softer, clearer 2026.
