YouTube SeenYet is a Chrome extension that helps users track new videos from selected YouTube channels and manage their watched and unwatched status.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension handles, how that information is used, and how it is stored.
YouTube SeenYet may handle the following information in order to provide its features:
YouTube channels added by the user, including channel URLs, handles, and channel IDs
Folder organization created by the user
Watched and unwatched status of videos
Extension settings, such as language and refresh preferences
Publicly available YouTube video and channel information, including video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, video IDs, channel names, and publication dates
YouTube SeenYet does not request or collect passwords, authentication credentials, payment information, health information, personal communications, or precise location information.
The information handled by YouTube SeenYet is used only to provide the extension's core functionality, including:
Checking selected YouTube channels for new videos
Displaying videos in the extension's inbox
Tracking watched and unwatched status
Organizing channels into folders
Searching, filtering, and sorting videos
Saving extension preferences
The information is not used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness decisions, or purposes unrelated to the extension's functionality.
User-created data and extension settings are stored locally in the user's browser using the extension's local IndexedDB storage.
This includes channel subscriptions added within the extension, folders, video information, watched/unwatched status, and settings.
The developer does not operate a server that receives or stores this locally saved extension data.
Users can delete stored information through the extension by removing channels, folders, or other saved data. Uninstalling the extension also removes data associated with the extension from Chrome.
To provide its functionality, YouTube SeenYet makes requests to YouTube to retrieve publicly available channel and video information.
These requests may include requests to public YouTube channel pages, video pages, and public video feeds.
The extension does not use the user's YouTube or Google login credentials and does not intentionally send authentication cookies with these requests.
As with normal requests to an online service, YouTube may receive technical information such as the user's IP address and request metadata. YouTube and Google process such information according to their own privacy policies.
The developer does not sell, rent, or transfer user data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
No user data is used for personalized advertising or marketing.
Information is transmitted to YouTube only as necessary to retrieve publicly available YouTube channel and video information required by the extension's functionality.
YouTube SeenYet does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or behavioral tracking services.
The developer does not use the extension to track users across websites.
YouTube SeenYet does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code.
All executable extension code is included within the extension package distributed through the Chrome Web Store.
Locally stored information remains in the browser until it is deleted by the user, removed through the extension, cleared through browser data management, or removed when the extension is uninstalled.
The developer does not maintain an external copy of this locally stored information.
YouTube SeenYet's use of information is limited to providing and improving the extension's user-facing functionality.
The use of information received through Chrome and related services complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User data is not sold or transferred for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or other unrelated purposes.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension's features or data practices change.
Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
