『宝物』

個人的な趣味の収集活動では、自身の中に確固たる理由が存在する（「理由がない」というのもひとつの理由）が、その理由は他者に理解してもらう必要はなく、自己との対話であり、限りなく自由である。  

何の変哲もない石っころも、選んだ時から「私の宝物」になる。

If you're collecting for personal hobby, you may have a reason ("no reason" is one reason), but that reason doesn't need to be understood by others. It's a conversation with yourself. It's infinite freedom.  

Even an ordinary stone becomes "my treasure" from the moment you choose it.

I admired traditional woodblock print techniques and began learning woodblock prints on my own. I love the soft expression unique to woodblock prints.  

This work is made with 6 woodblocks and 8 colors.  

This is expressed by printing woodblocks in different shades of black.  

I explored the boundary between realism and prints.

新潟県長岡市生まれ。東京工芸大学芸術学部デザイン学科卒業。  

東京伝統木版画版元勤務を経て 創作木版画家として活動中。  

また、イラストレーションやデザイン、展示の企画運営等も手掛ける。
