身の回りで出会った自然の風景をシルクスクリーンを使って表現しています。
私は特に、鳥のいる風景を見るとついつい写真を撮ってしまいます。
でもiPhoneのカメラなのでごま粒のように写った鳥たちの写真ばかり。
収集したごま粒のような鳥写真を見返して、これはなんだったかなと、その時の情景を思い出したり、想像したり、
時には思わぬ光景が写っているのを発見したり...。
そうしていくうちに作品を作るきっかけになっていたりします。
この「Autumn grasses and birds」はその収集した写真のうちの風景から描いたものです。
去年の寒い冬の日に、線路側の草むらが騒がしいなと思ってよく見ると
ススキの穂をついばみにスズメが集団で草むらに群がっていました。
ふわふわの穂や枯れ草、そこにリズミカルに飛び回る鳥たちは、カサカサと秋草たちをいつまでも揺らし続けていました。
ススキや枯れ草を模様のように描き、メディウムに金粉を混ぜたインキで刷り、小鳥たちは目立つように紙の余白で表現しました。

I use silkscreen to depict natural scenes I encounter around me.
When I see a scene with birds, I tend to take pictures of them.
But since I use an iPhone camera, all I see are photos of birds that look like sesame grains.
I look back at the bird photos I have collected and wonder what they were of, remembering or imagining the scene at that time,
Sometimes I find unexpected scenes in the photos....
Sometimes I find unexpected scenes in the photos... In the process of doing so, I am sometimes inspired to create artworks.
This "Autumn grasses and birds" was painted from one of the landscapes in my collection of photographs.
On a cold winter day last year, I thought the grass by the railroad tracks was noisy.
I looked closer and saw a group of sparrows swarming in the grass, pecking at the ears of silver grass.
The fluffy ears of awn and dead grass, and the birds flitting rhythmically about, kept the rustling autumn grasses shaking forever.
The silver grass and dead grass were drawn as a pattern and printed with ink mixed with gold powder in medium, and the birds were expressed in the margins of the paper to stand out.
